Giants: 3 Things To Look Forward To Next Season

The Giants have had an up and down season but have shown a lot of promise, but what should we most look forward to for next season?

The Giants come into today still with a chance to make the playoffs. A win and a Football Team loss will put the Giants into the postseason for the first time since the 2016 season. There weren’t many expectations coming into this season, we all were just excited to see how the team plays under a new coach. Joe Judge has been great and the team showed its potential at times. With all being said, here are three things to look forward to next season.

Barkley’s Return:

The Giants lost Saquon Barkley in the second game of the season to a torn ACL and it sucked. He was truly the only bright spot on the team and seeing him go down hurt. Barkley is a game-changer and makes the offense so much better just by him being on the field. After he went down the Giants for a few weeks had no run game at all, but towards the end of the season, Wayne Gallman started to run free. It shows that the O-Line is getting better and just imagine Barkley running behind it next season when it gets better again.

New Weapons on Offense:

This one may or may not happen but there is a good chance it will. The Giants if they lose would be sitting in a great position to draft a WR. This upcoming draft class is stacked with talent from the WR position and even if they choose to go somewhere else in the draft, the FA class is also stacked with WR. The Giants are in need of a WR1 to help Daniel Jones and this upcoming offseason is the perfect time to finally get it for him. Could we see Devonta Smith in Big Blue next year?

The Firing of Dave Gettleman:

From all the rumors that have been out there, I think it is all but certain that Gettleman will be let go at the end of the season. It’s about time, he has been terrible for the Giants since taking over. I will give him credit for this past offseason but the other years were awful. Joe Judge had a lot of say over the draft this season and it showed because for the first time in a while we actually drafted well. I can see Judge taking over as GM too or he would bring in someone from his time in NE.
