New York Giants: Dave Gettleman’s 3 Worst Moves

Dave Gettleman has been one of the worst GMs in recent memory with countless terrible moves, but which one was the worst?

The Dave Gettleman era is hopefully coming to an end soon. A man that once promised to build the Giants back up and make them a great team again, has done the complete opposite. Normally, a GM gets fired after making a couple of bad moves, Gettleman has made so many bad moves that just when you think it can’t get worse it does. Let’s take a look at Gettleman’s three worst moves.

Trading Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham was one of the most electric receivers that has ever played for the Giants. Drafted in 2014, Odell quickly exploded onto the scene as one of the games’ best wideouts. As the years went on the Odell kept producing, it was time to extend him. In 2018, Gettleman gave Beckham a 5-year 90mil contract with 65mil guaranteed.

After the season finished rumors started to swirl that Beckham was going to be traded and Gettleman stated, “we didn’t sign him to trade him”. What a lie that was as Beckham was then traded to the Browns. That year the Giants drafted Daniel Jones and the Giants have been missing a game-changing WR since Beckham left. It makes you wonder, what if Daniel Jones had Beckham on the team?
