With the New York Giants likely on their way to landing another early first round pick, here’s a midseason 2021 mock draft for Big Blue.
For the third time in four years, the New York Giants are just 1-7 halfway through the season.
New York’s 2020 1-7 start is perhaps the most frustrating one yet as they’ve lost by just one possession five times and come within three points of victory four times. They also have a defense that ranks among the top 10 in the league, an have an offensive line that’s improved nearly everywhere and a head coach that has clearly turned around the culture in East Rutherford.
Regardless, the Giants sit in the NFC East basement and are on their way to landing a top-five draft pick in 2021. As of today, New York is projected to have six draft picks in 2021 as they traded their fifth-round pick to the New York Jets for Leonard Williams in 2019 and traded their seventh-round selection to the Denver Broncos for cornerback Isaac Yiadom just prior to the start of the 2020 season. They do however, have a second, sixth-round pick after trading edge rusher Markus Golden to the Arizona Cardinals.
With six picks to work with, here is a midseason look at a full New York Giants mock draft for 2021.
