Third Base: Gio Urshela

Despite battling an injury, Gio Urshela has done enough in 2020 to prove his magical 2019 was no fluke.

When the Yankees acquired Urshela from the Blue Jays in 2018, they knew they were getting an elite glove. They did not know they’d also be getting a steady bat as in 2019, the third basemen slashed .314/.355/.534

This year, Urshela continues to swing a hot bat he’s slashing .272/.358/.515.

Urshela has proven he is the Yankees’ third baseman of the future; thus, no upgrades need to be made at the hot corner.
