Second Base: Gleyber Torres
Gleyber Torres proved to the baseball world why he was considered the Yankees top prospect in 2019.
In 144 games, primarily at second base, Torres slashed .278/.337/.535 with 38 home runs and 90 RBI’s.
With Didi Gregorius gone Torres has moved over to shortstop and has struggled both in the field and at the plate as he’s slashing just .234/.345/.351 with two home runs and 10 RBI’s so far this season.
The Yankees need to move him back to second base to allow him to be more comfortable in the field and in response, get back the bat that made him one of the game’s breakout stars in 2019.
