It’s taken New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge just three seasons to be considered one of the baseball’s elite players. In just 396 big league games, Judge has hit 110 career home runs with 246 RBI’s and 387 hits. With his success has come moments Yankees fans won’t soon forget.
Here the five that rank among the best so far;
5. Setting The Tone (2018 AL Wild Card Game)
The 100-win Yankees played host to the Oakland A’s in the 2018 Wild Card game and looked to clinch their second straight ALDS appearance.
After Luis Severino tossed a scoreless first inning, Judge set the tone for the evening in the bottom of the first as he smashed a two-run home run to left field to put New York on top 2-0. The Yankees would never trail in the ball game as they went onto defeat Oakland 7-2 and advance to the ALDS to take on the eventual world champion Red Sox.
Despite being eliminated early by the Red Sox in 2018, Judge put on a show in five postseason games played with eight hits, three home runs, and four RBIs, but clearly it wasn’t enough to beat the cheatin’ Sox.
