3 Yankees That Should Be In The Hall of Fame

There are many players from the Yankees who are already in the Hall of Fame, but here are a few more who deserve to be enshrined in Cooperstown.

The Hall of Fame is reserved for only the greatest players to ever play baseball. It is something every kid dreams of, but not many will truly make it that far. The Yankees have the most players in the hall out of any team. Some may say that the Yankees have too many players, but here are three Yankees that aren’t in that should be.

Thurman Munson

Thurman Munson is one of the best Yankee catchers in their history. Munson was the captain of the New York Yankees in the late ’70s before his tragic death. Munson is a one time MVP, 7-time all-star, 3-time gold glover and won rookie of the year in 1970. Munson’s career stats were very good for a catcher as he slashed .292/.346/.410 and hit 113 homers over his 11-year career.

He also drove in 701 runs. Munson tragically died at age 32 and probably had a couple of years left and would have been able to add more to his stats. Nonetheless, Munson was one of the best catchers during that time and such an important part of the Yankees. He deserves to be in the hall and hopefully, the Veterans committee puts him in soon.
