We finish our look at the top 10 Yankees of the decade with the top five players to wear the pinstripes since 2010. Without further ado: here’s your top 5.
Last week, we began our countdown of the top 10 Yankees of the decade with numbers 10-6. Now it’s time to finish it off with the top five.

5. Dellin Betances (2011, 2013-2019)
While Dellin Betances had stints in the majors in both 2011 and 2013, he did not break out until 2014. That year, Betances came out of seemingly nowhere to reach the all-star game after he pitched to a 1.40 ERA with 135 strikeouts in just 90 innings of work.
This would begin a run of four-straight all-star appearances for Betances, who developed into one of the game’s best relievers.
Having broken out a year after Mariano Rivera’s retirement, Betances played a big role in ensuring the Yankees bullpen did not miss a beat and stay among the game’s best year in and year out.
Betances will not be back with the Yankees in 2020 as he signed a one-year deal with the cross-town Mets this offseason.
