It’s Time for the Yankees to Rest Their Starters

Despite a 102 win season, the Yankees chances at home-field advantage are all but dead.

This weekend will mark the end of the 2019 regular season as the New York Yankees will travel to Texas to take on the Rangers in the final series ever at Globe Life Park.

Unfortunately for the Yankees their chances at home-field advantage throughout the playoffs are all but dead as the Astros swept through the Seattle Mariners to improve to 104-55 on the season.

With a two-game lead and an advantage in the tiebreaker, the Astros would have to suffer a sweep at the hands of the woeful Angels while the Yankees would have to sweep Texas.

With both unlikely, the Yankees need to protect their players.

No team has suffered more injuries than the Yankees this season. Now is the perfect time to make sure no one else goes down by resting the starters in Texas this weekend.
