The New York Yankees injury list is still toppling over with talent, so, we are here to give you some much-needed injury updates as of today.
As we all know, the Yankees have introduced the Injury List with open arms. Since Spring Training, the Yankees have had over 20 players hit the IL this season but that hasn’t stopped the Bronx Bombers from having a great season. The bottom of the Yankees lineup has been red hot these last couple of games and their motto for this year “Next Man Up”, has really motivated the young guys to step up and be productive.
This past weekend and Monday, the Yankees have given updates are key players who have missed some time with injuries. On Saturday, the Yankees PR team released this:
Stanton who has missed a majority of the year had a short stint with the team back in June. After coming back from a shoulder injury, Stanton in 31 AB’s batted .290 with one HR and seven RBIs before spraining his PCL in his right knee.
Yankees: Brian Cashman Explains Being Held At Gunpoint By Police
On Monday, some good news was released by Yankees sideline reporter Meredith Marakovits gave us updates on pitchers Luis Severino, Dellin Betances, CC Sabathia and hitters Luke Voit and Aaron Hicks:
As a Yankees fan, this is the best news so far we have heard all year. Since all the players have stayed on the IL or just had their stints, this team will be hungry and ready come playoff time. Having Severino back in the rotation will definitely be a plus but the question is will he ready to throw 3 to 4 innings before handing it over to the bullpen.
With one more month of baseball left, the Yankees are still in a good position with a lot of their depth. Right now, their goal is to play good baseball until the end of the season and secure home-field advantage. This team has been exciting to watch all year despite the injuries.
