Yankees: Pinstripe Pride Twitter Roundup 3/26/19

The Pinstripe Pride roundup is a semi-occasional look at our favorite Yankees related tweets. Let’s take a look at the best tweets in anticipation of opening day.

Let’s get pumped!!!

Tulo Time

Is Troy Tulowitzki finally healthy? If he really is, he’ll be a hell of a fill-in for Didi. The Yankees are certainly betting a lot on Tulo’s return.

Bird is the Word

Is Greg Bird finally healthy!?! It comes as a surprise to many, but Greg Bird and Luke Voit will both make the opening day roster, with Bird most likely serving as the primary DH. Will this finally be the year we see Bird break out?

Wade What?

This time of year always is a tough time for some players as teams need to whittle down their rosters to 25. Looks like Tyler Wade really did not expect to be cut this year. That being said, why was Clint Frazier optioned if the Yankees need a real outfielder?

Tanaka Tidings

Congratulations to Masahiro Tanaka and his family who are expecting a new baby due in June!

All Rise

Aaron Judge’s sophomore season was good, but it was also shortened by injury. Should Judge remain healthy this whole season, he will likely compete for an MVP.

One thing’s for sure, Aaron Judge is the man.

Stanton Island

Speaking of MVPs, Giancarlo Stanton settled in nicely in his first season with the Yankees. He ended up with 38 home runs and 100+ RBIs and Runs. That was considered a down year. Now that Stanton has a year under his belt in the American League, he should be able to adjust and take advantage of all the small ballparks in the A.L. East. If we’re lucky, he and Judge will treat us to a good home run race.

Big Maple in the Big Apple

Oh yeah, we traded for one of the best pitchers in baseball this offseason! Paxton, though often injured, is excellent when he’s on the field. With 19 Ks in 17.1 IP and only 1 HR given up this spring, the Big Maple looks poised to start off on the right foot in the Bronx.

Recovery Update

Good reports all around for Sevy, C.C., and Dellin. The Yankees are deep enough to sustain some injuries, but it’s concerning to have so many key players out to open up the season. Let’s hope the good news keeps coming.

O’s being O’s

Will the Orioles even win 50 games this year? Seriously though, the Orioles will be horrible again and the Yankees did not beat up on them last year as much as they probably should have.

Paulie

Everyone’s favorite color commentator, Yankee legend, Paul O’Neill is one of my favorites to listen to in the booth. When David Cone joins in as well, I’m not sure there’s a better combo in the league. Looking forward to hearing these guys all year long.

Here we go!
