Report: Yankees Discussing Deal To Acquire Noah Syndergaard

The hot stove is burning at the MLB Winter Meetings, which includes discussions of a deal between the Yankees and Mets for Noah Syndergaard.

We have been waiting for some juicy rumors for a few days now to come from the MLB Winter Meetings and we have received our first one courtesy of the New York Yankees and Mets.

According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, there have been discussions of a three-way trade between the Yankees, Mets, and Marlins that would send J.T. Realmuto to Queens and bring Mets ace Noah Syndergaard to the Bronx.

At the moment it is unknown what pieces the Yankees would include in the potential deal, but one would have to assume that top trade pieces like Miguel Andujar, Clint Frazier, and Estevan Florial could possibly be included.

The Yankees Must Go All-In For Corey Kluber

Noah Syndergaard has been dominant since coming up with the Mets in 2015, proving that when he is healthy he is one of the most devastating pitchers in the sport. In 25 starts in 2018, ‘Thor’ went 13-4 with a 3.03 ERA with a 9.0 K/9 and 2.80 FIP.

It has also been reported by Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic that the New York Mets General Manager Brodie Van Wagenen is open to new ideas the club has not explored in the past, and trading with the Yankees is one of them, which could be major news.

The deal is still currently being discussed and does not seem imminent at the moment, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled to Unhinged Yankees for up-to-date information.
