New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles, 4/8/18: Game 10

The New York Yankees will be looking to split the series against the Orioles with a win this afternoon before they head to Fenway Park.

  • New York Yankees (5-4)
  • Baltimore Orioles (3-6)

  • Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY

The Yankees achieved a huge victory on Saturday afternoon against the Orioles where the offense finally seemed to wake up with a weakened lineup.

It has been rough few days for the Yankees regarding injuries and having their team being hit extremely hard by the injury bug, but splitting the series against the Orioles could attempt to salvage the past week.

Left-hander Jordan Montgomery will take the mound for the Yankees and will look to build on his impressive start to the season.

In 16 career starts at Yankee Stadium, 6-3 with a 3.34 ERA. Montgomery has only lost one of his last 10 starts dating all the way back to August of 2017.

Opposing Montgomery for the Orioles will be Mike Wright Jr., who will be looking to prove himself as a solidified member of the Orioles’ starting rotation.

Last week, Wright Jr. held his own going up against Justin Verlander and the Astros while going five innings and surrendering only three runs against the powerful World Series Champion Astros.

It will be important for the Yankees to take another victory today and head to Boston to face the red-hot Red Sox with a bit of confidence under their belt.

Lineup

Player To Watch

Aaron Judge

We have had quite a bit of success over the past few picks with our player to watch, so, today we are going to have to go with Aaron Judge.

Judge has been red-hot as of late and has been one of the few players in New York’s lineup who is actually putting up productive at-bats. In five career at-bats against Wright Jr., Judge is batting .600 with a home run and three RBIs.

Expect Judge to continue his recent success in today’s game and help bring the Yankees another victory.
