Gary Sanchez Continues To Mash, Crushes Fourth HR This Spring (Video)

It’s a good day to hit down in Tampa, Florida today. After a mammoth home run by Yankee first basemen Greg Bird in the first inning, Gary Sanchez joined the party in the bottom of the third inning.

“El Gary” hit a bomb to left field off Marlins pitcher Caleb Smith with two outs in the inning. On a 3-2 count, Smith hung a breaking ball way up in the zone and Sanchez did not miss it.

This whole inning was really an example of why the Yankees lineup will be so dangerous this season. Smith was cruising through the lineup, He struck out Aaron Judge to end the second and had struck out Greg Bird and Giancarlo Stanton to start the third. Then he gives up a bomb to Sanchez, there is no escaping the power in this lineup.

Lastly, with Judge and Stanton getting much of the talk this spring the Yankee catcher has been overlooked on this team. I strongly advise against overlooking “The Kraken”. As Aaron Boone put it, “Gary’s bat is always ready for opening day”.
